SHORT ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the „European Funds for Warmia and Masuria 2021-2027” program, and participation is free of charge for participants.
The project runs from June 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025, and is being implemented by Jarosław Patrzyk EuroDialog in partnership with the Foundation „Voice of Women of Ukraine.”
The project involves 100 participants (at least 70 women) who do not hold European Union citizenship. Support is provided in person in various locations within the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, primarily:
– Bartoszyce,
– Działdowo,
– Elbląg,
– Ełk,
– Kętrzyn,
– Lidzbark,
– Mrągowo,
– Olecko,
– Pisz,
– Szczytno,
and also in counties:
– braniewskim,
– giżyckim,
– węgorzewskim,
– ostródzkim.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
As part of the project, we offer the following free support:
Consulting – creating a path for participation in the project
In what form?
Consulting consists of individual meetings with an advisor,
How many hours?
with 2 hours allocated for each participant.
For what purpose?
The diagnosis aims to appropriately tailor training, counseling, and advice to the needs of each participant. During the meetings, the advisor will conduct:
– an analysis of the participant’s personal and professional situation,
– an analysis of motivation, independence, issues related to living in Poland, and adaptation,
– an analysis of training needs,
– development of an Individual Support Plan (ISP), which will outline the forms of support the participant will receive.
If you want to take part in the project, you must first take part in a counseling session, then we will determine further forms of support.

- Each participant will receive an individual support plan, which will include information about further recommended support in the project for each participant (descriptions below).
- If you are a caregiver for a child or a dependent person, we will reimburse the cost of care during the support sessions.
Polish Language Training
In what form?
Training is conducted in groups of approximately 10 people.
how many hours?
Each course consists of 120 teaching hours:
- Twice a week, 40 days x 3 teaching hours per day, for about 5 months, or
- Twice a week, 60 days x 2 teaching hours per day, for about 8 months.
For what purpose?
We will advance your proficiency in Polish by one level on the European Framework of Reference for Languages: - from zero to A1, or
- from A1 to A2, or
- from A2 to B1.
The training is focused on using the language communicatively and practically, with the use of the most useful phrases and pronunciation practice. The course will end with the TGLS exam, which assesses speaking, reading, listening comprehension, and writing at the given level of proficiency. The passing threshold for the exam is achieving 60% in all four parts of the test. If your Polish language skills are sufficient and this is confirmed during the needs assessment, you will not need to participate in this training.
What will the Participant receive? - If you enroll in the course, you will receive the „Krok po kroku” textbook along with exercises –more about the textbook.
- If you pass the exam after the course, you will receive a TGLS certificate at the proficiency level you completed.
- JIf you are a caregiver for a child, we will reimburse the costs of care to enable you to attend our training or counseling sessions (35 PLN per hour).
Individual Support
In what form?
Individual support consists of one-on-one meetings with a psychologist, career advisor, job intermediary, lawyer, translator, or other specialists.
how many hours?
Each participant will receive an average of 10 hours of counseling. If necessary, you may receive additional hours of individual support. If there is no need, you are not required to participate in this form of support.
What do we provide?
– Psychological counseling aims to address issues such as concerns, fears, decreased motivation, as well as trauma and adaptation problems in children and adolescents. Psychologists will work to counteract isolation and exclusion, and guide participants towards problem-solving. For those who have experienced various adverse events, anxiety states, or adaptive stress, we will provide psychotherapeutic assistance.
– Legal counseling, including civil (such as family and custody), criminal, fiscal, etc., will help with obtaining work permits, making claims on goods and services, and consumer disputes. If needed, we will prepare documents (e.g., for offices, courts, and other public institutions) and translate documents.
– Advisory support includes assistance with renting and buying apartments, recognizing education, confirming professional qualifications obtained abroad, formal matters related to employment, writing CVs, clarifying regulations, referring to appropriate institutions (e.g., offices, courts, public institutions), and support in applying for higher education and schools.
What will the Participant receive?
JIf you are a caregiver for a child, we will reimburse the costs of care to enable you to attend our training or counseling sessions (35 PLN per hour).
Adaptation Workshops
In what form?
The training is conducted in groups of approximately 10 people.
how many hours?
Each course lasts 6 days with 6 teaching hours per day, totaling 36 teaching hours.
For what purpose?
During the training, we will introduce you to various aspects of life in Poland, including:
– Polish culture and traditions, including a presentation of major holidays and traditions in Poland, the significance of family in Polish culture, wedding customs and other celebrations, and a historical overview.
– Daily life, including the education system in Poland, the functioning of the Polish healthcare system, shopping, and using public services.
– Language and social communication, including communication norms in society, the use of polite phrases and forms, etiquette, colloquial expressions used in everyday language, and youth slang.
– Entertainment and arts, including a presentation of Polish art, cinema, and music, as well as the sports community in Poland.
– Environmental protection in Poland, including sustainable development, environmental regulations in Poland—particularly concerning daily life, the waste sorting and recycling system in Poland, sustainable energy sources, alternative transportation methods such as bicycles, car-sharing, public transport, “green skills” – raising awareness and respect for the environment, and understanding sustainable development.
Before and after the course, you will take a test. If you score at least 60% on the final test, you will receive our certificate. If your knowledge of Polish values and culture is sufficient, as confirmed during the needs assessment, you do not need to participate in this training. The training is conducted using proprietary materials prepared by the trainer.
What will the Participant receive?
- Each participant will receive a notebook, a folder, and a pen.
- If you are a caregiver for a child or a dependent person, we will reimburse the costs of care to enable you to attend our training or counseling sessions (35 PLN per hour).
- You will receive a certificate of completion if you score at least 60% on the culture knowledge test.
Assistant Support
In what form?
Assistant support consists of individual meetings with an assistant, such as a career advisor, lawyer, translator, or other specialist.
how many hours?
Each participant will receive an average of 5 hours of support. If necessary, you may receive additional hours of assistance. If there is no need, you are not required to participate in this form of support.
For what purpose?
The support aims to provide practical information on various aspects of life in Poland, including but not limited to residence legalization and university admission procedures, assistance in finding accommodation and employment, support with local institutions and community interactions, etc. We will help ensure care (institutional, school, or preschool) for children. The assistant’s role is to help participants resolve their daily issues arising from a lack of knowledge of regulations or procedures or insufficient knowledge of the Polish language.
What will the Participant receive?
If you are a caregiver for a child or a dependent person, we will reimburse the costs of care during the assistant support sessions (35 PLN per hour).
Integration Through Culture
In what form?
Workshops will be conducted in groups of approximately 5 people.
how many hours?
There will be 4 sessions, each lasting 6 teaching hours per day, totaling 24 teaching hours. This form of support is optional.
For what purpose?
The topics will be tailored to the interests of the participants, including:
1. Culinary Workshops (e.g., preparing regional dishes from Polish and Ukrainian cuisine),
2. Art and Painting Workshops,
3. Artistic Workshops (e.g., theatrical or musical),,
4. Hobby Workshops (e.g., pottery or making Christmas decorations).
The workshops will be organized in collaboration with local cultural centers, schools, and libraries, allowing participation from Polish citizens as well. The workshops may be held during festivals (e.g., Kętrzyn Farewell to Summer, Days of Węgorzewo).
What will the Participant receive?
If you are a caregiver for a child or a dependent person, we will reimburse the costs of care during the assistant support sessions (35 PLN per hour).
Participants will also receive the materials necessary for the workshops (e.g., food items, art supplies).
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE PROJECT?
We offer courses exclusively to individuals who meet all of the following conditions:
– They reside (as defined by the Civil Code) or stay in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
– They are 12 years old or older.
– They hold citizenship of a country that is not a member of the European Union and do not hold citizenship of Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein.
– They legally reside or stay in Poland. They possess documents confirming their identity and citizenship, including a passport, a notification of PESEL number assignment, an official certificate of citizenship, or a residence card.
– They are not simultaneously receiving support from other social and professional activation projects co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus.
All conditions must be met on the day of the counseling for creating the participation path in the project.
Priority in project acceptance will be given to:
– Women – 7 points bonus
– individuals who have been granted temporary protection in Poland following the Russian Federation’s aggression against Ukraine – 10 points bonus (please provide a document confirming PESEL number assignment with UKR status)
– individuals residing or living in:
- w miastach: Bartoszyce, Działdowo, Elbląg, Ełk, Kętrzyn, Lidzbark, Mrągowo, Olecko, Pisz, Szczytno – premia 3 punkty,
- Districts: braniewskim, giżyckim, węgorzewskim i ostródzkim – 6 points bonus,
– Unemployed individuals (inactive or jobless) – 5 points bonus (please provide a certificate from the District Labour Office or Social Services Office),
– Individuals with the lowest proficiency in Polish (who will attend a course leading to a certification at A1 level) – 3 points bonus (please complete the test).
PROJECT GOAL
To acquire social competencies and improve the social situation between June 1, 2024, and August 31, 2025, among at least 85% of 100 (70 women and 30 men) third-country nationals, aged 12 and over, from the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, through the implementation of an individually tailored support plan for each participant. This plan includes psychological and specialist support, Polish language courses, adaptation workshops, integration and cultural activities, and assistant services to support various aspects of life in Poland.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE PROJECT?
Complete the form below. We will check if you meet the criteria to participate in the project.
If you are unsure of your Polish language proficiency level, you can take the placement test at the training location or here.
Example: If the test assesses your proficiency at level A2, you will be eligible to join a course that culminates in an exam at level B1.

REIMBURSEMENTS
If you are caring for a child, we will reimburse the costs of care so that you can come to our training or counseling. The reimbursement covers nanny care, care in a kindergarten, nursery or children’s club. Reimbursement of costs cannot exceed PLN 35 per hour of classes.

Project results:
- At least 20 people (minimum 14 women) will undertake education or training after participating in the project.
- The situation of at least 85 people (minimum 60 women) will improve after participating in the project.
- At least 80 people (minimum 54 women) will obtain qualifications confirmed by certificates, diplomas or attestations, including the TGLS certificate.
