SHORT ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Lublin 2021-2027 program, and participation is free of charge for participants.

The project runs from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, and is implemented by the company Jarosław Patrzyk EuroDialog in partnership with the Borderland Spiritual Culture Foundation.

The project involves 120 individuals who are non-EU citizens. Support is provided in stationary form in locations across the Lublin Voivodeship:
– Chełm
– Hrubieszów
– Krasnystaw
– Lubartów
– Lublin
– Opole Lubelskie
– Parczew
– Świdnik
– Włodawa
– Zamość.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

As part of the Lublin Bridge project, we offer the following support free of charge:

Needs and Potential Diagnosis

In what form?
The needs and potential diagnosis is conducted through individual meetings with an advisor.

How many hours?
2 clock hours for each project participant.

For what purpose?
The diagnosis serves the appropriate adjustment of training, counseling, and advisory services to the needs of each participant. During the meetings, the advisor will conduct:
– analysis of the personal and professional situation of the Project Participant
– evaluate vocational predispositions and preferences (including using the Vocational Interest Questionnaire)
– analyze training needs
– develop an individual action plan.
If you want to participate in the project, you must first take part in the needs and potential diagnosis, as during this diagnosis, we establish further forms of support.

What will the participant receive?

  • Each participant will receive an individual action plan, which will contain information about further recommended support in the project for each participant (descriptions – below).
  • If you are unemployed, we will reimburse the cost of your travel to the meeting place with the advisor.

Psychological counseling

In what form?
Psychological counseling takes the form of individual meetings with a psychologist.

How many hours?
Each participant will take part in an average of 4 clock hours of psychological counseling. If necessary, you may receive additional hours of meetings with the psychologist. If there is no such need, you do not have to participate in this form of support.

For what purpose?
The psychologist will help participants adapt to changes and strengthen motivation for action. If you have any problems, you will be able to discuss them during the meetings. The psychologist will also help you identify them and indicate ways to overcome them.

What will the participant receive?
If you are unemployed, we will reimburse the cost of your travel to the meeting place with the psychologist.

Training in Polish values and culture

In what form?
We conduct training sessions in groups, with an average of 12 people.

How many hours?
Each course lasts for 4 days with 6 hours of classes per day, totaling 24 instructional hours.


For what purpose?
As part of the training, we will familiarize foreigners with Polish values, culture, traditions, and history to facilitate social adaptation and increase mutual understanding and integration with the Polish community (e.g., in the workplace, in the neighborhood).
The course program includes:
– basic information about the economy, political system, and society”
– progress and significance of important historical events in Poland
– significant figures in Polish history
– national memory and important anniversaries
– the character of Polish culture and its traits expressed in art, music, and cinema
– Polish customs and traditions
-basic values and norms prevailing in Polish society
– communication and social customs.
Before starting the course and after completing it, you will write a test. If you score at least 50% on the final test, you will receive our certificate. If your knowledge of Polish values and culture is sufficient, as confirmed during the needs diagnosis, you do not have to participate in this training

What will the participant receive?

  • The training is conducted using proprietary materials prepared by the trainer.
  • During the course, you can have coffee, tea, and treat yourself to biscuits.
  • If you are unemployed, we will reimburse the cost of your travel to the training venue.
  • If you are taking care of a child, we will cover the costs of childcare so that you can attend our training or counseling sessions (23.50 PLN per clock hour).

Polish language training

In what form?
We conduct training sessions in groups, with an average of 12 people.

How many hours?
Each course comprises 120 instructional hours:

  • 2 times a week, for 40 days, with 3 instructional hours per day, over approximately 5 months, or
  • 2 times a week, for 60 days, with 2 instructional hours per day, over approximately 8 months.

    For what purpose?
    We will enhance your proficiency in the Polish language by one level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages scale:
  • from zero to A1 level, or
  • from A1 to A2 level, or
  • from A2 to B1 level.
    The training is focused on using the language in a communicative, practical manner, utilizing the most useful phrases, and practicing pronunciation exercises.
    The course will conclude with a TGLS exam assessing speaking, reading, listening comprehension, and writing at the respective level of proficiency. The passing threshold for each level of the exam is achieving 60% in all four parts.
    If you speak Polish sufficiently and this will be confirmed during the needs diagnosis – you do not have to take part in this training.

  • What will the participant receive?
  • If you join the course, you will receive a „Step by Step” manual with exercises – more about the manual.
  • If you pass the exam after the course, you will receive a TGLS certificate at the proficiency level you have completed the course.
  • If you are unemployed, we will reimburse the cost of your travel to the training venue.
  • If you are taking care of a child, we will cover the costs of childcare so that you can attend our training or counseling sessions (23.50 PLN per clock hour).

Individual counseling


In what form?
Individual counseling involves one-on-one meetings with a career counselor, job mediator, lawyer, translator, or other specialist.

How many hours?
Each participant will take part in an average of 6 clock hours of counseling. If necessary, you may receive additional hours of meetings with the counselor. If there is no such need, you do not have to participate in this form of support.”

For what purpose?
We will provide practical information regarding various aspects of life in Poland, including, among others, residency legalization and university recruitment rules, assistance in finding accommodation and employment. If needed, we will assist you in contacting local institutions and the local community. We will also help you solve everyday problems resulting from a lack of knowledge of regulations, procedures, and insufficient language skills.

We are able to arrange assistance from an advisor within 3 days of reporting your problem.

What will the participant receive?

  • If you are unemployed, we will reimburse the cost of your travel to the counseling site.
  • If you are taking care of a child, we will cover the costs of childcare so that you can attend our training or counseling sessions (23.50 PLN per clock hour).

Vocational training

In what form?
Group or individual courses. The size of groups depends on the specific nature of the course.

How many hours?
Each participant will participate in an average of 120 hours of training (20 days, 6 hours a day). If necessary, you can receive more hours in the course. If there is no such need – you do not have to use this form of support.

For what purpose?
The training you will participate in must be consistent with your diagnosed needs and your potential, which will be specified in your individual action plan. The training includes theoretical and practical classes – depending on the training program. The training offered will also take into account the actual needs for specific qualifications and skills on the regional or local labor market (listed, for example, in the Occupation Barometer). These may also be training courses requested by a specific employer who guaranteed employment of the project participant after the training.

What will the participant receive?

  • If you join the course, you will receive a manual or script appropriate to the training topic.
  • If you pass the exam after the course, you will receive a certificate confirming the acquired competences.
  • If you are unemployed, we will reimburse the cost of your travel to the training location.
  • If you are taking care of a child, we will cover the costs of childcare so that you can attend our training or counseling sessions (23.50 PLN per clock hour).

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE PROJECT?

We only offer courses to people who meet all of the following conditions:

– they live (within the meaning of the Civil Code) or reside in the Lublin Voivodeship

– are 15 years or older

– they hold citizenship of a country that is not a member of the European Union and do not hold citizenship of Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein

– at the same time, they do not receive support in other projects co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus.

All conditions must be met on the date of commencement of the diagnosis of needs and potential.

Priority in admission to the project will be given to:

– ladies – bonus 5 points

– people with disabilities – bonus 6 points (please show us a certificate of disability or another document certifying your health condition issued by a doctor)

– people who have completed participation in a project in the field of social inclusion (e.g. 8.1 FELU) – bonus 5 points

– people who stay or live in cities:

  • Włodawa, Chełm – bonus 8 points
  • Opole Lubelskie, Zamość, Krasnystaw – bonus 6 points
  • Hrubieszów, Lubartów, Parczew, Świdnik – bonus 4 points
  • Lublin – bonus 2 points.

-unemployed people (economically inactive or unemployed) – bonus 3 points (please show a certificate from the District Labor Office or ZUS)

– individuals who have refugee status – bonus: 3 points (please present a document confirming the granting of UKR status, i.e., granting of UKR PESEL) – bonus 3 points.

PROJECT GOAL

Acquisition of social and professional competences, in the period 01/04/2024 – 31/03/2025, among others: 90% of 120 (84K; 36M) third-country nationals, aged 15 and over, from the province. Lublin, acquired in accordance with a development path selected individually for each participant, including, among others: psychological support, Polish language courses, training in Polish values ​​and culture, professional training and providing practical information on various aspects of life in Poland.

HOW TO APPLY TO THE PROJECT?

If you are unsure of your proficiency level in Polish, you can take a placement test at the training venue or here.

Example: if the test diagnoses your skills at the A2 level, it means you can take a course that ends with an exam at the B1 level.

Project result:

  • obtaining qualifications by at least 96 participants (min. 67 women) confirmed by certificates/diplomas/attestations, including the TGLS certificate or equivalent in Polish with indefinite validity.
  • participation in individual counseling and training (selected based on the diagnosis of needs) – will strengthen the sense of self-efficacy. Building positive emotions by the project team and using small step techniques will help eliminate frustration, especially felt by people who could not find employment in Poland, especially women – eliminating negative stereotypes about women migrants.
  • participation in the project will encourage women (at least 70% of participants) to realize their own ambitions and stimulate their aspirations – improving the level of knowledge of the Polish language and acquiring competences/qualifications will contribute to reducing problems on the labor market and in everyday life (reduce the risk of social exclusion, increase access to public institutions, will allow for personal development, and obtaining a certificate will make it easier to get/change a job/promotion).

REIMBURSEMENTS OF COSTS INCURRED BY PARTICIPANTS

We provide reimbursement of travel costs for each form of support on the basis of tickets, invoices or written statements provided by participants regarding the use of their own car along with attendance lists for classes on a given day. The refund amount is the travel cost for 1 day of participation in the activities planned in the project, multiplied by the number of attendance of the Participant. The cost of reimbursement may not exceed the amount equivalent to the cost of the cheapest carrier on a given route (i.e. fees for public rail or road transport in accordance with the second class ticket price list in a given area) for each day of participation in the form of support.

If you are caring for a child, we will reimburse the costs of care so that you can come to our training or counseling. The reimbursement covers nanny care, care in a kindergarten, nursery or children’s club. The reimbursement cannot exceed PLN 23.50 per hour of classes.
